i told him, i could have not given ANY notice at all...

rage about it, but after a while, you'd figure that those in the
firm are getting the raw deal..
and ultimately, an employer who treats staff like *&#$^ will
go to the dogs because word gets out, and the attrition rate will
ensure the place doesn't run efficiently... and less efficiently
now that you're going..
you'll have the last laugh
